CH 04 Desk

Patch it once. Print it when it is right.

Two engineers share the room. You get one of them for the day, not a rotating assistant.

CH A Continuity

One engineer. The notes stay on the sheet.

Two engineers share the room. You get one of them for the day, not a rotating assistant. A Thursday vocal can meet a Sunday overdub without a scavenger hunt.

We will not mix a record we did not track unless we have the session and a day. We will not promise a radio sound from a three-hour booth booking.

CH B On the desk

Ask who is on your day.

Two people, one room. Names are not on this page. Ask the desk when you hold the date.

CH C House line

What we will, and will not.

The same two sentences we say on the phone.

Will

  • Track the room you booked, with one engineer on the day
  • Leave a recall so a Thursday vocal can meet a Sunday overdub
  • Print to half-inch when the arrangement can sit still
  • Send a rough of what you kept before the last booked hour

Will not

  • Mix a record we did not track, unless we have the session and a day
  • Promise a radio sound from a three-hour booth booking
  • Rotate assistants through your day
  • Sell you a reel the song does not need

CH D Recall

Turn a knob. The sheet still exists.

This is a toy. The real recall is paper on the desk, so the next day starts where you stopped. Drag a knob if you like; nothing is stored.
